The responsible physician will hand out the discharge documents in the form of a short letter, as it is called, containing initial information regarding the in-patient treatment issued for the family doctor. A detailed discharge letter containing findings of examinations and treatments as well as recommendations for a complete continuance of the treatment will be posted a few days later.Whenever the discharge date is fixed, the ward physician will discuss all necessary questions for aftertreatment. Apart from pieces of advice and directions for a future lifestyle, recommendations about desirable rehabilitation measures as well as information about aftertreatment and about supervision and counselling institutions can also be provided if required. The payment of all outstanding amounts is made at the central cash point, the cash machine on the building D2 and ZOM or respectively at the paying offices at the admission offices of the several departments.
