Arrival by car

From Frankfurt (A3) and Heilbron/Stuttgart (A81)
Stay on the autobahn until you reach the interchange Würzburg West. Then enter the A3 in the direction of Munich, Nuremberg, Würzburg. Leave the autobahn at the exit Würzburg-Heidingsfeld and enter the B19 in the direction of Würzburg-Stadtmitte (City Centre). Stay on the B19 in the direction of “Stadtring Süd”/Konrad-Adenauer-Brücke. On the B19 keep right at “Stadtring Süd” until you reach the Greinbergknoten and then choose the lane in direction to “Stadtring Nord”. After turning left keep to the right and turn right after 400 m into the Josef-Schneider-Straße (University Clinic-Map).

From Nuremberg (A3) and Ulm (A7)
Stay on the autobahn until the intersection Biebelrieder Kreuz, stay on the A3 in the direction of Frankfurt, Würzburg until the exit Rottendorf. Take the B8 in the direction of Würzburg and turn left after about 9 kilometers onto the B8 Greinbergknoten in the direction of “Stadtring Nord”. Accordingly to this, choose the right line and turn right after 400 m into the Josef-Schneider-Straße (University Clinic-Map).

From Fulda/Kassel (A7)
Leave the autobahn from Fulda/Kassel at the exit Würzburg/Estenfeld. Take the B19 in the direction of Würzburg and stay half right after about 7 kilometers on the B8 Greinbergknoten in the direction of “Stadtring-Nord”. Accordingly to this, choose the right line and turn right after 400 m into the Josef-Schneider-Straße (University Clinic-Map).

Arrival by Deutsche Bahn

IC and ICE trains depart and arrive hourly to/from Frankfurt, Hanover or Munich. Arrival at the Hauptbahnhof (Main Station) Würzburg. You can reach the main area of the University Hospital with the streetcar routes 1 and 5. You get on the streetcar at the Hauptbahnhof Ost (Main Station East) in the direction of Grombühl and get off, depending on the destination, at one of the three consecutive stops “Uniklinikum Bereich D (University Hospital area D)”, “Robert-Koch-Straße (University Hospital areas B and D)” or “Pestalozzistraße (University Hospital area A)”. Or you take a cab (phone: 0931 - 19410) from the Main Station with destination Josef-Schneider-Straße/Grombühl. (The walk from the Main Station takes about 20 minutes.)

Parking

The surroundings of the University Hospital offer sufficient parking in the area of the ZOM, the Head Clinic, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the old Clinic. Nevertheless, and mainly due to the mostly difficult parking situation, parking cannot always be provided in the immediate vicinity of the respective Clinic Departments. To make parking easier for you, we have set up a patient guidance system that displays if and where parking places are available before entering the several Clinic Departments. We ask you to only use designated parking places, as vehicles that are parked in non-designated areas will have to be town away with costs.

Shuttle Bus

Our free of charge transport service provides all patients and visitors with the transport connection of the parking areas A/B with the respective Clinic and connects the several areas on the University Hospital ground.

Severely handicapped persons

The area of the University Hospital supplies sufficient central parking for severely handicapped persons. Parking the car in designated parking places for severely handicapped persons is only permitted in conjunction with a severely handicapped pass. You get a free of charge exit-ticket when presenting the severely handicapped pass (properties aG, BI or H) or the wheelchair user pass at the gate.In the area of the Dental Clinic, the Department of Internal Medicine II, there are parking places in the immediate vicinity with only a few minutes walk to the Clinics.Only a limited number of parking places are available in the Department of Psychiatry.
