Our main focus is on:
- Investigation of the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases with a particular focus on atherosclerosis and myocardial infarction.
- Use of murine models in basic research
- approaches to identify the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying these diseases.
- Investigation of the recruitment and function of different immune cell populations in vascular and myocardial processes of inflammation.
