Guest Lecture: Mechanisms of Diabetic Neuropathic Pain: Insights from the Human DRG

During Prof. Dr. Theodore Price's visit to the CRU 5001, the renowned pain researcher from the USA will deliver a guest lecture.

Diabetes can damage peripheral nerves and lead to chronic pain. In Prof. Dr. Theodore Price's lecture "Mechanisms of Diabetic Neuropathic Pain: Lessons from the human DRG," he will mainly focus on changes in the dorsal root ganglia (DRG) and their significance in the onset, progression, and chronification of pain.

Prof. Dr. Price is a pain researcher at the Center for Advanced Pain Studies at the University of Texas, USA. His expertise lies in brain plasticity related to chronic pain. He will meet with all CRU 5001 members and project leaders at the end of March.

The guest lecture is free of charge and will take place on March, 22nd , 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Center for Operative Medicine (ZOM), Oberdürrbacher Str. 6, House A1, Seminar room 2/3 (A1.0.103). The lecture will be held in English. All CRU 5001 members as well as colleagues from the UKW are invited.
