Summer School 2026, Clinical Research Unit 5001

The ResolvePAIN Summer School is the perfect event for everyone who is interested in deepen their knowledge in molecular mechanisms of pain, and pain resolution or chronification.

You can connect with PhDs, Postdocs, Physician Scientists as well as specialists in the field!

It will take place at the DZHI in Würzburg and in addition to plenary lectures, it will offer seminars on chosen topics for a more in-depth discussion in small groups. There is also the possibility to share your newest research in a poster session.

PainScouts: Hands-on Classes

We regularly offer the young scientists from the CRU 5001 the opportunity to improve their scientific skills. The aim of this programm is to provide practical experience in a wide range of scientific techniques related to pain research.

The three-hour program (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) includes the following offers:

  • MRI analyses in pain
  • Machine Learning - Basics and Examples
  • RNA-Seq Essentials: RNA Isolation, Quality Assessment, and Raw Data Evaluation

Courses are conceived and delivered by the principal investigators and/or scientific experts from their respective working groups.

  • Analysis of neuronal tissue and teased nerve fibers
  • MEA-based electrophysiological analysis of hiPSC-derived neurons
  • Basic introduction to genome databases and computational sequence analysis

Courses are conceived and delivered by the principal investigators and/or scientific experts from their respective working groups.
