The NUM project University Telemedicine Network (UTN) takes place with the participation of the University Hospital of Würzburg.
The main aim of the UTN project is to implement a national standardised electronic data collection system using telemedicine for university research. Existing telemedical structures at German university hospitals are to be standardised, with a focus on semantic and syntactic compatibility. To this end, the project participants want to standardise the existing heterogeneous telemedical structures at German university hospitals.

Technical lead: Prof. Thun und Dr. Martens
Medical lead: Prof. Helge Hebestreit, Prof. Marx
Part of AP2 (Telemedizinische Infrastruktur): M.Sc. Psych. Paula Wessels
Project duration: since 2022

One of the main focuses of the project is the recording of long-term consequences of COVID-19 and their risk factors, particularly in patients after discharge from hospital. UTN will also analyse the use of telemedicine in cohort studies and aims to establish a long-term telemedicine infrastructure.
