Annalena Jachnik

Annalena Jachnik has been a research associate in the Translational Social Neuroscience working group at the Centre for Mental Health since April 2023 and started her doctorate in February 2024.
In her doctoral project, she is investigating the influence of social support in social interactions on mental and physical well-being. In addition to subjective assessments, physical reactions such as heart rate and heart rate variability are also recorded. These measures are collected during and after everyday social interactions using smartphone-based surveys (Ecological Momentary Assessment, EMA) and mobile ECG sensors. The research results will provide new insights into the influence of different types of social support on the general well-being of people in their everyday lives and contribute to a deeper understanding.
